Design your own album cover!

With the new album fast approaching, ok well maybe not fast enough, but it's on the way, we thought it's about time to get artistic!

Yup! We're looking for your take on what the album cover will look like.
Front Cover, Spine and back (if you wish), even though we don't know names, 1 ,2 3, 4 etc is fine.

At this point there isn't anything we can give away the best cover, it's just all in the name of fun and creativity!

So get cracking and let us see what you'd like it to look like!

hmm.. of all 4 covers, I like the first one. The second one, colour scheme is nice, but may I ask what is it in front of Darren, it looks like something is stubbing into his chest and it doesn't look good. The third one is out of the question, because Darren has change his image. The fourth one is too colourful.

I feel that it isn't out of the question. The is no law stating that me must use his latest image for the cover. That was an idea I had. Sure, I could have used 4 more recent images, but I felt, that the 4 that I used go well together.

Btw feel free to make a cover of your own, with more recent pics of Darren.

1. After SG was released.
2. He did a small change, just before Affirmation was released.
3. Before Spin was released.
4. Just recently before TT&TS wil be released.

Thay are the major points in his career and he feels that he needs a new image to help the transition from the old to the new.

that's kinda cool... he gets a new style every time a turning point happens in his life. it's neat how people change their styles and looks like that, compared to just looking the same all the time. i could take a lesson.. lol ;)

Btw I think you would be suprised to know that I made my first cover on my first use on photoshop. I have only been using it for a couple of weeks. The covers are not hard to make. I will go through the process that goes into making my covers.

1. Find a good pic of Darren.

2. What is the inspiration of this cover. This is based on what pic of Darren I have. Some are drawn to nature settings, others are not.

3. Cut Darren out of the pic he is in and save the cut out Darren.

4. Find a good background pic to put Darren.

5. Put Darren onto the background pic.

6. Play around with the size and opacity of Darren and the filters on photoshop. I usually put filters on Darren first. Then I consider filtering the background.

7. Only now do I think if the cover will be TCFC or TT&TS or Popular. Pick one.

8. Choose a font that goes with the cover.

9. Choose the right size of that font and put the words on the cover in a place that looks good.

10. Save as a jpeg, upload to photobucket, and post it on DHC.

cool :) hehe.. i never had a knack for designing stuff like that, though you make it sound so simple. i remember a poster project we had to do for science, and my partner and i had to re-do it all the time and it took us forever because neither one of us knew what we were doing. at least we got it DONE though.. that's the main point. :D
