Just a quick note for you all about asking where to find downloadable files of songs that have been released on CD.

Firstly just don't ask publicly in any forum (keep it to private messages or email if you really must illegally share something). Doing this will lead to a thread being locked or edited as soon as it is seen. The exception to this is if a song can be downloaded from an official website (such as some of Darren's remixes from the Specificus website). Also no problems linking to a site where you can purchase the song in question (online store or officially sanctioned paid download service).

Certain things such as interview recordings or official samples of songs are fine to be linked.

Please DO NOT mention file sharing networks (winmx, kazza, etc.).

Rules for Warnings and Bans

If you ask for anything to share you will receive a single warning. If you break the rules again you will be banned for a minimum of 2 weeks depending on how serious the breach of the rules is.

If you offer tracks or give out a location of where tracks are illegally being offered you will be banned and your post deleted.

If for example you offer a complete, unreleased album you will be permanently banned from this forum.

The decision of the Administrator is Final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding bans.

Any questions feel free to ask :)

If it's legal then it's fine ... any of the PAID download services are fine to link to :)

Hey Toby, I don't think this announcement is visible enough, it took me a few seconds to find it.

Okay, I'm all about staying legal, but where the heck do I get tracks that AREN'T ON MY CD??? I bought the debut album the week it was available in the States back in '97 and only just now realized it does not have the tracks MINE and ALL AROUND ME after visiting the Savage Garden Central web site. What is up with that?

Easiest way is to buy the Australian version of the debut album. Go to http://www.darrenhayescentral.com/shop.php to find a few recommended places to get this.

This goes for live recordings too, right?
as long as the song(s) have been released on a CD?

Like an audio file from S&C tour or TCFC tour?

Not that I'm asking, but I guess it's good to get it cleared up anyway... :)

ANY song that have been (or will be) released in some form (CD, Cassette, Video, DVD, Vinyl, Legal Digital Downloads), including promo releases, cannot be offfered for or asked for by members for downloading.

The downloads forum that I have just added caters for things that won't lileky be made available to purchase such as interviews (audio and video) and tv and radio performances (audio and video) but not tour performances unless you have the permission to do so. Remember anything that you post in that forum is your responsibility.

You can find that song on the Insatiable Part 1 single. It's avaliable at amazon.co.uk and sites like that, but I guess you will get it for less money at ebay. It will probably be used, but if the tracks are alright, there's no worry :)
