Just a quick note for you all about asking where to find downloadable files of songs that have been released on CD.
Firstly just don't ask publicly in any forum (keep it to private messages or email if you really must illegally share something). Doing this will lead to a thread being locked or edited as soon as it is seen. The exception to this is if a song can be downloaded from an official website (such as some of Darren's remixes from the Specificus website). Also no problems linking to a site where you can purchase the song in question (online store or officially sanctioned paid download service).
Certain things such as interview recordings or official samples of songs are fine to be linked.
Please DO NOT mention file sharing networks (winmx, kazza, etc.).
Rules for Warnings and Bans
If you ask for anything to share you will receive a single warning. If you break the rules again you will be banned for a minimum of 2 weeks depending on how serious the breach of the rules is.
If you offer tracks or give out a location of where tracks are illegally being offered you will be banned and your post deleted.
If for example you offer a complete, unreleased album you will be permanently banned from this forum.
The decision of the Administrator is Final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding bans.
Please Observe the following rules when using these forums:
Respect other forum members and their opinions.
No multiple posting / spamming the forum (this will result in a warning
then a short ban (1 week), then a longer ban (between 2 weeks and a month)
and a permanent ban for repeat offenders)
No thread hijacking (taking over someone elses thread) ... it is just rude!!
No asking where you can find MP3s or other illegal copies of any tracks
in any format (MP3, WAV, RM, WMA etc...) (posts will be deleted or edited and
you may be warned or banned). Keep this to Private Messages. This also generally
applies to file sharing networks (WinMX, Kazaa etc). Linking to sample of
songs on official sites is fine, same goes for interviews but not live performances.
Keep Topics Relevant to their respective forums. Topics will be moved if
they are not posted in the correct forum.
Signatures are limited to 1 image up to 250 pixels in height OR 5 Lines of Text. If your image is
250 pixels in height then you can have a maximum of 1 line of text in your signature and NO MORE.
Please note that there is also a 350 character limit on signatures (this
limit includes all underlying image code so please take that into account).
Signature Images should not exceed a maximum 250 pixels in height.
This means that they should not take up more than around 1/5 of the screen
at 1024x768 screen resoution. There is no set limit on image width but don't make any images too big.
Images should not be posted in messages unless absolutely necessary (such as to illustrate a point made in a message). Images may
be posted in threads where the topic is image related (such as a \"Post Your Photo\" type thread or a thread to show off some New Pictures that
you may have found). If you are caught posting images where they are not necessary you will be first contacted by Private Message to give you a
chance to redeem yourself, after that a 2 day ban will be placed. I will not hesitate to remove any images that I deem to be unnecessary or large
for any particular post (I will usually just replace images with a link to the actual image). A general size limit the same as for signature images applys to
any image that you do post on the forum (where the image is allowable).
You must comply with the Terms of Service of the host of this site, Myacen
Network. Please read their Terms
of Service and comply with what is necessary.
Please do not use other peoples avatars. If you do want to use someone
elses avatar please send them a Private Message to Ask. Avatars located in
the gallery in your profile are available for anyone to use however
No messages in ALL CAPS. It is considered the same as SHOUTING!!!
There may be rules that apply only to a particular forum. Please make sure you follow them as well as these rules. Rules for a particular
forum will be posted in an Announcment thread in the relevant forum.
Members may not advertise any commercial service. This includes any links to affiliate programs of online retailers. Advertising is only permitted by the
forum Administrator and those who have received permission to do so. Users who advertise without permission will have their posts deleted and repeat offenders will
be banned and their accounts removed.
